I bought these as a replacement for a set , from another brand , that were awful , they did all the bad things that a prior reviewer spoke of buckling etc. Prior to this , I had owned a professional collectors version of this set . After 5 years of heavy use and some abuse , it was time to replace them . I couldn't find the same set, they don't make them any more . I went with the lesser brand and was very disappointed. This set works great , I made a batch of cookies tonight , they cooked evenly , the sheet was stable and clean up was a snap. My only bug-a-boo with this set is is has Calphalon in big raised letters on the cooking side of the sheet , right smack in the middle ... I don't like the thought of one of my cookies being labeled lol so I used one of my silicone baking mats on top of it.

I'm surprised to read the previous review, because I just had that experience with a different cookie sheet, one that got great reviews from most people. I've owned my Calphalon sheets for a few years now, and they are solid, heavy-duty sheets that have never warped in my oven (and I bake scones every week at 425o in a convection oven). I like that the 17" length makes them big enough to hold a 15"-wide sheet of parchment paper without having to fold or trim it. The two unrimmed edges make it easy to prepare items on a sheet of parchment and then just slide the sheet underneath it. The one thing I don't like is that the nonstick coating is pretty slippery... if you turn your pans end-to-end midway through a bake, you have to be careful to keep the parchment and baked goods from slipping off the pan. I'm still confused as to why my experience is so different from Brian's... but the Calphalon sheets get two thumbs up from me.

I never use this pot. The pasta insert sits far too high inside the pot. Thus I have to use several quarts more water than is necessary. Not crazy about having twice as much scalding water than required sitting around. The quality of the pot is good; just extremely poor design.

This pot is just huge! It is perfect for boiling up corn on the cob to freeze for winter. You can get about 20 ears in this pot! It is worth the money if you cook up big batches of things. I would recommend it.

At first I thought this was going to be a real problem, but the surface on the Caphalon pans is so well designed that they literally take seconds to clean. I know it may seem to be a chore to hand clean these, but think of all the room you will save in your dishwasher. In fact because of this you probably will end up actually saving time.

The best thing about these pans is how little oil it takes to cook in them. This not only helps to keep your diet low fat, but keeps your kitchen appliances clean as well. I have never been able to cook an egg as well as I can with my Caphalon pans. Eggs come out absolutely perfect every time.

If you still are convinced enough to even take a look at a Caphalon set, the last point is how relatively inexpensive they are. You can get a full set of ten pans for a couple hundred dollars. While this is not cheap if taken care of this should be the last set of pots and pans you will ever need. Hopefully you take my advice and take a look at a set today.

I ordered this product as a Christmas gift and paid for the two day delivery. I am very upset with DHL they fouled up and took four days to deliver my package allthough it was in town on time. They admitted the late delivery was thier fault but since it was the holidays they refused a refund of the shipping charge. The product is great and I'm very happy with the retailer and the product. I bought this set to replace my old no-name cookware set. It's a HUGE difference and I'm glad I bought Calphalon. The material is thick and heavy which are the characteristics of good cookware according to my aunts who cook for 30 years. The design of this set is really nice. I was worried about the handle which is made of some kind of metal though it's written as hand-cool handle. From my cooking, the handle is cool even when the pots/pats were at the temperature of boiling hot. I don't know how Calphalon did that but the heat from the container didn't transfer to the handle at all. All in all, I highly recommend this set to everyone. It looks really good and the quality is way beyond my expectation!

I have cooked with this set for a year now, and feel I can rate it as excellent. I have had several lesser quality sets over the years, including circulon, and have always used non-stick. I am a "foodie" and after my last set disintegrated, I decided to step up to a quality stainless set. I researched both Calphalon and All-Clad. I am SO glad I went with the Calphalon Tri-ply. Because I couldn't ween myself off of non-stick completely, I also bought one Calphalon stainless, non-stick pan. That was completely unnecessary. The tri-ply releases food easily and clean-up is a snap. Even burnt on food comes off with a quick boiling of water at the bottom of the pan and then let it cool. Voila...it comes off with water. I do use Barkeeper's Friend to polish it up occasionally, but otherwise it cleans up with soap and water. I am so happy with this set and highly recommend it.

One of the best set of pans i ever owened got tired of nonstick coated pans always peeling off after time only resulting in having to buy new ones. Stainless Steel pans are just as nonstick aslong as you use them as recomended buy the manufactor as far as amazon saying they go for 800 plus well 399 is the recomended price for the set of the manufactors web page if you shop around like i did i got them for 328.00 including shipping but a 5 star recommendatation for people thay are tired of the same old peeling coated nonstick pans that need to be replaced after a couple of years time after time.

The material is thick and heavy which are the characteristics of good cookware according to my aunts who cook for 30 years. The design of this set is really nice. I was worried about the handle which is made of some kind of metal though it's written as hand-cool handle. From my cooking, the handle is cool even when the pots/pats were at the temperature of boiling hot. I don't know how Calphalon did that but the heat from the container didn't transfer to the handle at all. All in all, I highly recommend this set to everyone. It looks really good and the quality is way beyond my expectation!

Price - It's a bit expensive, but, compared to other professional cookware (i.e. All Clad, Calphalon, Kitchen Aid...) it really does stand up to these more expensive cookware lines! I did find a great price for my 10 pc set at homeconnectiondirect.com so for me it was not an issue.

The distribution of heat is very impressive. Especially for cooking sauce your chances to burn food using this cookware is slim to none. Circulon does not lie when they say there is even heating..

Amazon offered a bonus for purchasing Calphalon pots that I never received because the orders were split and they refused to honor it. Next time, I will order directly through the vendor or shop in person for this type of purchase - the vendor did their part efficiently. The pot is well worth the money and I take care to heat and cool it slowly to avoid any possibility of warping.
Customer Review: Truly an Everyday Pan
This is my first official review of anything, ever, I believe. First off: I needed to start a "grown-up" collection of cookware. My collection had consisted entirely of the visions cookware my mother gave me when I moved out on my own over ten years ago and the sad pieces I inherited when I purchased my late grandfather's home from his estate (mostly revereware). I had never purchased anything for myself and discovered I did enjoy cooking (and pretty well if I might humbly add) when I moved out. So for over ten years I have been cooking on very lousy cookware. I managed to get some great pieces at yard sales - mainly Le Creuset. I decided to ask for some good pieces for Christmas last year and did some research on ratings to determine the brand I would try. Two of Calphalon's lines made the top two spots in consumer reports two years ago, so I took a look at them and loved the look of this line. Plus, I had heard for years that copper was the way to go. I received three pieces that Christmas and this was one of them. They hung in my kitchen (after my husband made a special rack for them) for at least 3 months before I got the nerve up to try them out. I thought "I can't wait to try them" when I received them, but once they were hung up I thought "They are too pretty to use and scratch up". I got over that eventually and now find myself constantly reaching for this pan in particular. I use it almost everyday. The size is wonderful. Large. I used a much smaller saute pan almost daily and can't believe the difference. PROS/GENERAL COMMENTS: Let it heat up before adding meats and they will release better. It heats evenly - even on an uneven cook surface that tilts to one side. It browns beautifully. I've never burned anything on it. These pieces have a nice weight to them for cooking but are easy to handle (although I did read another tri-ply copper piece review by a woman with arthritis who had trouble with the weight and handle length.) I like that it can go into the oven so you can brown something nicely then finish it off in the oven as some recipes call for. And you can heat it to 450 degrees. I like the brushed finish as opposed to the mirror finish some other brands use. I think it looks more elegant. It would probably make a half decent wok or stir fry pan in a pinch. It has some depth to it compared to skillets. You are not supposed to use non-stick sprays on this line, and I haven't. Just use a bit of olive oil, it's good for you. It cleans up easily - though the outside does spot up and tarnish quickly. I also soak my in the sink when I'm too lazy to clean up that night - and you aren't supposed to do that with these pans. The tarnish comes off very quickly (if you care) with salt and white vinegar or Never Dull. I just polished mine for the first time today. CONS: The color they tarnish to is an odd yellowy color. Not like better French cookware. You think the pot actually is permanantly discolored, but it's not. I don't think the actual copper content is very high, but they do the job promised. The handles attached to this pan do get hot. The lid does not. It does get scratched, but I don't care about that. CONCLUSION: I like this line. It cooks nicely and cleans up well. I am now in the process of ordering a ton of Calphalon items from Amazon that are priced so low I couldn't resist. Mainly the Commercial Anodized line. I will review those when I get the chance to use them a bit. If you like to cook and don't have the proper tools, do yourself a favor and get some good pans and knives. I used Ginsu steak knives as cooking tools for almost ten years, and "oh the humanity". I almost gave up ever making salads entirely because I dreaded chopping/sawing things.

I know it may seem to be a chore to hand clean these, but think of all the room you will save in your dishwasher. In fact because of this you probably will end up actually saving time.

The best thing about these pans is how little oil it takes to cook in them. This not only helps to keep your diet low fat, but keeps your kitchen appliances clean as well. I have never been able to cook an egg as well as I can with my Caphalon pans. Eggs come out absolutely perfect every time.

If you still are convinced enough to even take a look at a Caphalon set, the last point is how relatively inexpensive they are. You can get a full set of ten pans for a couple hundred dollars. While this is not cheap if taken care of this should be the last set of pots and pans you will ever need. Hopefully you take my advice and take a look at a set today.
